To help solve this problem, Shakyamuni Buddha taught methods for breaking out of our ego prison and identifying ourselves with the enlightened beings of the past, present and future.
And according to the tantric teachings of Buddhism, this remarkable transformation can be realized very quickly if we utilize all aspects of our human energyespecially introduftion energy of our desires. Therefore, when we try to be like them, through the practice itroduction tantra, prayer or any other method, it is only to be able to serve others in a similarly selfless way.
Apparently it’s a good overview itroduction what tantra inntroduction all about. Enjoyed it for its clarity. A genuine generation of Boddhicitta is attained only when, through the training of the mind, the aspiration to attain full enlightenment becomes spontaneous and no longer requires any deliberate exertion. It is precisely because our lives are so inseparably linked with desire that we must make use tanttra desire’s tremendous energy not just for pleasure, but to transform our lives. An altruistic aspiration to attain full enlightenment for the benefit of all beings, Boddhicitta is cultivated on the basis of certain mental attitudes, principal among them being the development of love and compassion towards all beings equally. Tantra recognizes that the powerful energy aroused by our desire is an indispensable resource for the spiritual path.
The former refers to that aspect of boddhicitta defined above, whereas the latter refers to the discriminative awareness prajna of directly realising emptiness which is induced by the altruistic motivation of boddhicitta. Through seeing ourselves as one with our spiritual guide we banish the self-pitying thought: The text explains how someone can use tantric Tibetan buddhism to reach enlightenment efficiently, which theoretically will allow you to, like Lama Yeshe, control the process of dying and rebirth so that you can help tanta and create a more compassionate world.
This book is just like every other western-facing introductory writing on tantra, with lots to say about promises of happiness and why this path is a good path but without actually describing the practice. I hear that not all followers follow plans tatra Lama Yeshe’s to the letter, though he does speak with such an authoritative voice that one would think that his plan is the tried and true method to attain enlightenment.
I’m fine with playing along with different ways of thinking and finding meaning, but I’m not fine with obvious, outright BS. Bodhisattvas, literally meaning ‘heroes of enlightenment’, are courageous individuals who dedicate their entire being towards a single goal, ie. Before we can board the lightning vehicle of tantra, we have to understand why it is both necessary and possible to abandon our ordinary, limited view of ourselves and generate in its place the enlightened self- identity of a fully evolved being.

I happened upon this after reading through David Chapman’s hypertext book “Meaningness” and checking out his other blog posts where he talks about tantra. Got a little redundant. Description New edition of this perennial classic.
As a prerequisite for the successful practice of tantra, the development of bodhicitta is absolutely necessary It has been said by all masters that to be properly qualified to practise tantra, we must possess a very strong bodhicitta motivation. I don’t buy that. It’s too bad that the word “tantra” carries so much baggage.

I can’t say as I was blown away by this book. He lives in Santa Cruz, California. For example, It would perhaps be more useful to view the descriptions of reincarnation as strictly metaphorical, representing actual and ephemeral mental states from moment-to-moment rather than spanning physical lifetimesin doing so there arises a profound awareness that can radically alter consciousness to cease the very ego grasping and striving so artfully described in this book.
And the root of the tantric path is unifying oneself with this source of inspiration through the practice of guru-yoga. It helps a lot to get your head straight about motivation, accumulating a store of positive energy, and letting go, etc and even applying these concepts to our inevitable deaths.
Or cure their cancer with positive thinking. For example, looking at lovely girls walking down the street, used to be a real mind wandering wish-fest!
