I tend to rely on the katepisternum when I can see it since it’s more of a binary character! How about the white face with the black stripe? Very similar to obliquabut the katepimeron is black and the face has often a dark brown to black medial stripe, while in obliqua the katepisternum is yellow and the face is yellow or with a light brown stripe.
Subgenus Allograpta Osten Sacken Preliminary studies show the genus to be monophyletic with the genera Sphaerophoria and Exallandra placed within which obviously complicates matters.
